Good day?

Hay guys,

Went out for lunch with my friends and the snow was the thickest I had ever seen it. But that didn't deter us from having a good time.

I was at the bus stop and this woman stood there. I hesitated at first and after a few minutes I asked the time and she was quite receptive and even joked: all from asking the time. Sometime passed and I still found it quite hard to break conversation. When the busses arrived I turned back around and asked what buses go to town (I already knew) and she told me. That was about it.

I'm able to say hello to attractive women but on the bus (going home) I started two conversations with two different people which was good.

I think the problem is that we are progamed to think it is weird and scary talking to people (especially the ones we really like). It's because everywhere we look people just don't speak to others. We are just happy in our own worlds.

Just a thought.

So I felt I could have persued with the first one but I'm happy I had conversations with the other two.

Interesting

I definitely think that our ability to engage people is an interesting topic.  I have been talking to complete strangers for so long that I almost take it for granted.

I find that most people are actually not that interested in other people and therefore never engage them.

This to me is the missing link:- Actually be interested in another person and it is amazing what you can talk about.  Interested can start with just a smile and all of a sudden there is a blooming conversation.

Good luck with spreading your wings - I wonder how many people you could meet this week if you tried.

Cherish each day! Angie

Thanks

Many thanks! I like your last statement because it cuts the goal into bite size chunks. x

Soon you will learn!

You turned I "problem" into a opportunity! I think you're ahead of tools!LOL! Keep doing it!

Cheers

Thank you for your support neo!
