Goals-Now we're talking

Day 29 is the start of goals week.  I have been waiting for this. I have always known goal setting is the key to achievement but I have not been able to consistently be a goal setter.  The summer before I started college at a very large school, I decided I wanted to be Student Government President.  That was my goal.  It was always in the back of my mind, guiding many little and big decisions.  4 years later I succeeded.  In hindsight it was a selfish goal and I am not sure I was very good at the job, but the point is I achieved it because I set a goal and stayed focused on it.

I learned the value of goal setting   but I have seldom practiced it since.   I intend to make goal setting a principle of my conduct from now on.  The next 20 years will be the most effective of my life and I intend to guide those years with good, consistent goal setting.
