DAy 7

I am finding the food choices on this phase of the diet a little boring-especially in vegetables and protein.  But I think that means I just need to make more effort.  Last night I pan fried some talapia (using non-stick spray) with lots of seasoning and it was delicious.  I think I will do the same with 4 or 5 portions today and freeze them.  I have just been eating vegetables out of the can or freezer, doing very little with them.  I guess its time to spice it up.  Perhaps make some good soups too.

My only real complaint is that the 1 day at a time process is too slow for me.  I would love more information up front.  And they finally mentioned that we would start the exercise program tomorrow, on Day 8.  It seems to me that with exercise the first week would show some real progress on the scale.  On the other hand, I have been exercising a on my own, but maybe not with the persistence and vigor from following the program.  NOT Bitching, just an observation.

Body Makeover thoughts

The program has worked this way for more than 22 years...they are confident the weight comes off. First people need to make a shift, make the transition, put things into place, get the food in the house...but if you were exercising before, that's great.

Day 6 is all about spicing things up. I hope it's helpful.  We also need time for the taste buds to adjust. For most people, the buds are all about lots of salt, fats and sugar. "Real" foods taste bland until the buds make the shift.

You're really enthused and it shows! Makes me smile. I believe it will pay off!

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!
