breakthrough-deciding to set my sights high

I have been beset with seemingly insurmoutable financial problems for 4 or 5 years.  It dawned on me today  that the reason for my depression is that I am not setting high enough goals.  If the best I can try for is to get through the current crisis, the only thing I am looking forward to is survival.

But if I decide to plot a course to really solve the problem long term, my attitude changes.

In my case I have been applying all my efforts to a business which, even if successful, will take years to dig me out of the hole.  But in doing so I have turned my back on my skills and credentials that allow me to play for bigger game.  I need to move the ladder to wall which gets me over the top.  If I dont try for super-success, the outcome is a foregone conclusion.

I can do it and I will.

Brilliant analysis! Go for it!

Hey Phantom:

You have your head on straight as my mother would say.  You have analyzed the situation and figured out some solutions.  Now the world waits to applaud you.

Small bites.

I have a few HUGE financial issues that I have largely ignored and let get out of control in past years.  Every time I set an overall goal to knock them out, I would get depressed about it because it seems so big, and as you said, would take literally YEARS to get rid of it.

Since I have been in TOOLS however, I have learned to look at things differently.  I am now breaking it down into bite sized, more managable chunks. I got a dry erase board and put them up there, so I could SEE every day where I was at with them and where I was going. It's been motivating to say the least. For the first time I feel like I am actually making positive progress.

The Law of Attraction took hold on it as well, as the more I tried working on it, some little bit of extra money will surface here and there, so money I never even knew I would have to help with it, was showing up.  I expect that will continue and I will get those things taken care of, and much faster than I ever thought possible!
