So simple?

The tools lesson today boils down to something so simple and yet so profound.

"What can I do today to make my life better TODAY?"

Why does it take a formal program like tools to get me to focus on this simple transforming question.

It is simple.  All  I have to do is DO IT.  Something TODAY and then EVERY DAY (One day at time, like the 12 steps programs?). Things I know without coaching or deep thought.  So simple and yet so profound.

Today

It is, indeed, the tiny things we do TODAY that is the real secret.

Why did you need a "formal program" to have that pointed out? This program FORCES us to only look at one thing at a time and gives each small idea a block of time when that is the only thing there is to pay attention to.

As you said, you already knew this secret. In fact most of us already know most of this stuff. But usually we get it all in huge chunks and it is so much harder to digest.

I took that statement...

Typed it out in wordpad in a fairly large font and printed it out and put it on the bulletin board by my desk where I will see it every day as a reminder!
