Getting with the program

I am have been participating in the Weight Loss Challenge  Support Group but have not been to the Tools lessons for some time now, (months).  I have benefited greatly from the Challenge Group and enjoyed it immensely.  But I developed a block about going back to the Tools program itself.

The weird thing is that I was at the point in the program that I looked forward to the most: Goals and  Planning.  It was like a writers block.  I did and enjoyed the program consistently and then one day could not bring myself to get back on it.   At any rate.  I am back now and WILL continue the program.

The people in the program are wonderful, supportive and truly add to my development.  But the lessons of the program itself are important too.  Why did I stop?

perhaps you needed to settle?

Sometimes, with change, I find I need to pause and catch my breath.  I lost about 25 lbs and then have frozen there, adjusting to the new me.  I feel ready to move on now, being called to the gym more often by my otherwise procrastinating body.

Perhaps you just needed a break.  But now, refreshed, you can plunge in again!

We're here to help you with the plunge - dip those toes in and jump!

Back for more

I agree! I agree!

We're complex beings and both changing and putting new things into place (like working on health and weight) takes energy and focus and sometimes we have to stop at those plateaus in the climb up that hill. I too took time off sometimes not to stop Tools, but to go apply it more fully to my life, as you did. Glad you are back.and CONGRATS on the weight success.
