Veterans Day

To day is Veterans day. I would like to take the time to thank and remember all those who serve and have served, and those who never came home, my upmost respect and gratitude for defending our country and freedom. I also want to say one day is not enough. You do a job that most would not want to do and I commend you for it.

There are many one day sales at various retailer around the country, and I have to ask, when our military is fighting, are they thinking" when I get back to U.S soil I hope they give us 10% off bed sheets" Don't get me wrong, I think all military should receive a discount every day. But it's the shame of retail that gets to me. Do they need to capitalize on any occasion or day of remembrance? In the future, will there be a 9/11 sale? I think allot of people loose site of what these days are for. They are not just a day off from school or work, they or a day to celebrate and remember our HEROS! So do your self a favor, and not just today, every day, HUG our military personnel active or retired and thank them for what they do so we can have ours. GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES!

Dido

Great post!

I agree

Wouldn't it be cool if the veterans also got a paid day off work? I'd gladly pick up the slack around my shop, those people need to take this day off from now on! And to any veterans that read this THANK YOU!

Support the troops

Whether we agree or not with the conflicts they are involved in, the troops are in theatre so we must support them. As you inferred , most of us would not want to be there, so support them with discounts, cards at Christmas, but most of all respect for the tough job they do..
