DON'T FORGET YOUR ROOTS!

I got to go out with some old friends last night. It's not something I get to do often. Now that I live in Delaware and most of my good friends are in PA and NJ, it makes it hard to hang out. So it was good to see them, and it made me miss my old life. I mean the life I had before I got married. Make no mistake, I love my wife and I don't regret getting married, I miss the care free day's. No car loan, bills, house repairs/payments, etc. I miss how it use to be. I always thought we would, as a group of friends, live in the same area and grow old together. That did not happen. We all grew up and found ourselves taking a path in life we may or may not have planned. For me though, I am trying to get back to my roots. I'll be honest and tell you that I never forgot or left them behind, just put them in my back pocket for a moment while my life took a turn. But now, I find myself getting back to what I was before married life, just a grown up version. No, I am not being irresponsible, just picking up on the things that I loved from where I left off. Is this immature of me, should I forget where I came from and what made me, me? Or do I take a fully new direction and forget every thing that made me who I am today. Well I see no harm in remembering who I am and my roots. I made it this far in life, and even though I am working on bettering my self, this desn't mean that where I came from was or is my down fall, now does it?

By the way, this pic was from the H2O show in Philly last month. Standing on the crowd is a good friend of mine, my step son and I are in the crowd but not visable in this shot.

This is who I am. This is and has been and always will be who I am.
