My goal was to work out EVERY DAY in January. (Admission - I made the goal on Jan. 2, after working out on Dec. 31 but not Jan. 1- so I 'swapped' Dec. 31 and Jan 1 to make this work!)
Well I am PROUD to announce - I DID IT!!!
Some days I did a very "mini" workout, like just 3 sets of crunches, but even doing that has made a major impact on my ol' belly pooch! My hubby has commented already that my core looks more toned and tightened. I FEEL stronger. I am seeing the first returning hints of definition on my belly, my arms, and EVEN (gasp!) my thighs!! My "problem area," so to speak, is showing visible results after only ONE MONTH!! How awesome.
I took the weekend off as a recuperation period, but now I'm motivated to work out for 30 consecutive days again. :) Starting today, of course!!
My goals are at least 2 days of cardio, 2 days of upper body toning, and (drum roll!) 2 days of lower body toning EVERY WEEK.
Wow. Brave of me! But I'm confident I can do it. I did 2 days of upper body toning almost every week in January, and the same with cardio. And at the beginning of January, I was faarrrr from ready to add any lower body toning.
But with visible results already showing, and NOT focusing on it, I'm ready! Plus I came across a great starter-workout in a book I own (Banish Your Belly, Butt, & Thighs Forever!) for lower body work. I'm ready to go!
