Music:
I like the old 70's, 80's, 90's classic rock, and some metal. I will listen to other music but I am more of a rock/metal fan. There was a survey on music that asked which music causes the biggest suicide rate, Rock, Metal, Rap, or Country. The answer was country music. I'm really not a huge fan of country or rap, or opera, or jazz. Bring me those old hair bands.

Favorite Places:
I love living in Oregon. I love the rivers, lakes and mountains & Crater Lake that is within an hour of my house.
I Want To See:
I would love to visit all of the states, and travel more. My sister is in Germany for 3 years, I have made it my goal to go there to visit her.
Hobbies:
I have a lot of hobbies, but little time to do them (finding this is an excuse, I need to make the time to do them). I want to change that in the upcoming New Year. This year I learned how to do stained glass (what a process). I like to cook, I cook almost daily, and I am great at it. I like anything around water. I like art and would like to learn how to draw more than stick figures; maybe learn to paint; or do pottery.
Activities:
I need to engage in more activities :O.
I love walking my dogs in the park or around the neighborhood. I love to river raft & one of my favorite memories is when I went canoeing in the dark with my husband & pelicans surrounded our canoe, the moon & stars were out, and I will never forget the peaceful feeling of that night. I like anything around water, when I was younger I loved waterskiing. I like to go to aqua jogging, and swimming.
Sports:
I am way too clumsy to participate in sports. When I find a sport I can engage in without breaking something, I will let you know.
Movies:
I love sci-fi, movies that are dark, or have messages, I like movies that make me laugh & love almost anything with Jack Nicholsen (One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, The Shining, As Good As It Gets, are my favorites of his). I like the movie "What Dreams May Come", probably because it has the message that love can endure through heaven & hell...kind of a summation of my relationship.
TV:
I haven't watched much t.v., when I do, I like to watch simplistic shows that don't tax my brain when I get home from work like arrested development, the family guy, king of the hill, my name is Earl...etc. Breaking Bad is a good show, I love Bryan Cranston in this role. It seems the history channel or some kind of informational show is on in the background a lot on the weekends.
Heroes:
My heroes are the people I support every day who have developmental disabilities. The struggles they go through make me realize how valuable life is, and how lucky I am to not have those struggles. My parents have always been my heroes. I lost my Dad this year, & I miss him every day!
