I'm on Day 8, but I have been in the Tools To Life program for 17 days. I logged in every day for the first 7 days, then I fell backward. I slept in late, did not do my checklist, did not do any warm up exercises or meditation, and generally just gave up on myself and life. I have been unemployed and still no job and very few interviews.

On Monday, I said I am going to put in for any job even ones at minimum wage with no benefits and only part time. I have been a busy bee these 3 days filling in online applications and emailing cover sheets and resumes. I started to talk myself into hope again and said any job is better than no job plus it will give me some money coming in and contact with people.

I wasn't going to come back to Tools To Life, but realized that even if I have to start all over it is better than not finishing it. So here I am, back again. I'm going to try my best and have decided even if I miss some things on the checklist each day to keep going and try to do better the next day.

I have been rereading the blog comments and my email and wish to thank all those who have commented and want to be my friend. You really inspire me to keep trying.

Oops, there's the doorbell. Must go!

It is my 3rd day in Tools To Life. I am disorganized, unemployed, in debt, have a cluttered house, overweight, and did feel afraid and thought of myself as a failure. Coach says these are opportunities and I can change. For the first time in a long while, I feel some hope. That is so important - to have some hope. I will work hard at Tools for Life and getting a job. Also will work at my attitude which is starting to improve a bit. It is so encouraging to read of the successes others have had and to have those who have been in the program a long time tell of all the different changes that have taken place in their lives
read more...
