My name is Ron Barnhart. I'm an entrepreneur creating a training and education company to help people build skills in business and in life. I'm only in the start up stage, so everything is on the drawing board at the moment. The current project is a front-end web site dedicated to helping people create a personal development plan. The site is also just starting, with very little up and running at this point. I haven't even submitted anything to the search engines yet because I'm mostly just experimenting and trying to get a system in place for creating the content.

I'm married to my wonderful wife Tammy. We've been together for 14 years and we have three children (Adam, Tamara, and Bryan). I also three children from my first marriage (Justin, Aaron, and Devon). My family is my life and I am glad to be able to spend my life with them. 

My past is difficult subject. I got to where I am in life the hard way. I certainly was not prepared for everything that life through my way. Some things I had to learn 2 or 3 times before it finally sunk in. While not very pleasant, it has been source of a lot of personal education and learning. It's given me a lot of perspective on life and helped me develop a strong, stubborn persistence to keep going no matter what.

I was born in Cincinnati, OH, which is where I still live today. I'm not fond of OH--particular because I don't like winter. I'm ready to move someplace warmer. My mom and I moved around a lot when I was kid, so I went to many schools. However, I graduated from Lakota High School in 1989.

I didn't go to college after high-school. Instead, I took my dad's advice and got a job (ummm.....yeah, that was another of those mistakes I was talking about). I started a family very early, but things were not going well for me and my wife--after 5 years, we decided to go separate ways. Actually, she decided to move to Florida with her family (and our kids). There's a lot of stories in there that I don't have the space to cover here.

But, after that, things started looking better and I met Tammy. We dated for 3 years and then got married. We've been raising our children for 11 years now. We home school our two oldest, which keeps us extremely busy. But, it's been quite a ride and incredible learning experience in the process.

My oldest son (from my first marriage) graduated from high school this year and I am extremely proud of him. He worked very hard and got good grades. He also wrestled and played football. He's getting ready to start college this fall, which makes me glad that he's avoiding one of the big mistakes I made early.

I've been going to University of Phoenix for over 4  years and I'm about to graduate in September with a Bachelors of Business Science degree. It's been a long road, but it has been an enriching experience that I know will be worth the effort. 

Once I graduate, I will begin working on my business almost full time. I'm still have my day job and I do everything else in the time that I've got left, so things have been very slow moving up until now. Once I graduate, things will start moving a lot quicker. I plan to transition into my business full time by April of 2009.

We will be moving to North Carolina's Crystal Coast. It's an incredible area with so much to do and see. We plan to have a lot of fun on the beach and on the water. We're planning on getting a boat once we get down there.

By that time, we'll be starting a new program with our children to help them improve their education. They are going to start teaching each other on certain lessons. They will do this for half of this school year and then next year it will be integrated into their curriculum. Once our youngest one gets in kindergarten, they will have a big role in helping my wife teach him. Eventually, if they are interested, we may help them to start tutoring people in public schools or home schools who are struggling with their work.

There's a lot more in the works, but I'll stop here for now. It's going to be a lot of fun and a lot of work. But, I'm ready for the challenge.
