Sharing With My Daughter...

I Told The Water Story To Meghann...

Hello All,

Today, Meghann share with me that just recently, she started to feel that something was changing... She said to me that sometimes, she feel mad for no reason and that she feels something in her throat (tightening)and that she can control how she gets mad...

This was the first time I heard my little girl tell me something like that. She is 11 years old now and I did mention to her that it could be related to her hormones kicking in...

I felt compelled to tell her about what I had learned that day with Tools and I have to admit... It felt great to be able to give her advise like that ...I call it: "The Water Story"

Here’s a little drill I ask everyone I work with to do. At this point, you must have a glass of water next to you while you read this. Great! Now I want you to take a sip. Okay, let me ask you a question: Is there any outside event that could stop you from taking a sip of water once you decide to? The easiest thing we can do is find reasons why we can’t do things. No matter how your boss treats you, he or she does not control your attitude: You do. So you have no reason to go home and take it out on the family. I can go on and on here and give you example after example, but there are many more chapters to come. The point is your attitude is your decision, and your life is your decision. I know that you’re deciding to take control of the only thing you do have control over: Yourself.

Thank you Deven,

Nathalie
