Why do you want to get things done? You have to have a compelling why. The why needs to be more compelling than the why not.
says: Just make the effort to spend 10 minutes a day on a goal or task.
says: I am the queen of making lists and then checking things off as I get them done. The satisfaction of actually crossing something off the list and watching the list shrink is very rewarding to me. It helps keep me motivated.

I've never learned to enjoy doing things I didn't like, but I've learned to love how I feel after I've done them.
I think for me, the key is to push myself to do the stuff I don't feel like doing, do it anyway and then enjoy the feeling of satisfaction of having done it.
I get stuff I hate doing out of the way as fast as I can, as early as I can in the day. Emails I'm dreading, loading the dishwasher, returning sucko phone calls - I do them first thing in my day and get rid of them.
