I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to South Beach when I was 4 years old. My father was a German artist, sculptor, chef, and inventor. My Puerto Rican mother, a dancer, accountant, hypno therapist, etc...My entire life has always had something to do with the arts. My love and appreciation for the arts came from the exposure that I received from both my mother and my father to all forms of art.

 

From early childhood, I was involved in art, the choir, playing the piano, acting, dance, fashion design. I obtained a degree as a professional makeup artist including advanced prosthetics, and art. I was involved in painting, drawing, sculpture, video, installation art, and photography in college. 

 

I have had numerous accomplishments in all of the areas that I had worked in.

 

Now, I find myself a comptroller for a marketing and advertising firm that creates materials for health insurance companies, financial, etc. Luckily, I come from a line of accountants, my mother, grandfather, and uncle. It pays the bills, and I find it interesting, but there is nothing better than being creative. 

 

That is why I came to the tools to life program. I was searching for a way to get back to what I love and move on from somethings that were unpleasant in my life.

 

I have been in probate for over 4 years, since my father passed. I have only created 3 paintings in all this time. It has been hard.

 

I hope one day to turn my experience into something positive that helps others.
