Persevering

I have been away from Tools for sooooo long.  Thanks for the nudge, Coach Steele.  I needed it.

The thing about Tools, for me, is it gives me structure and guided direction.  I've been working on my stuff away from Tools, but I don't know how successful I've been.  I'm starting to realize that maybe we just won't get it all done.  There is no perfection to achieve.

I read Eckart Tolle's book recently.  I have learned that for most of my adult life I've habitually lived in the past or the future, rarely in the present.  I'm much more aware of it now and with awareness comes the ability to make conscious decisions.  I catch myself constantly 'thinking' but finding myself mulling over past crap or fretting about the future.  It has been a good exercise for me, when I come to this realization, to focus on my breath.  That always brings me back to Now.  And that's where life is lived.
