Wow, it's truly remarkable to see someone who decided to take control of his life at such an early age...do you really aspire to become a rockstar? that sounds so coooooool. cheers and you are boosted!
Currently I'm living it up in the Rocky Mountains of Denver Colorado. I've been living her for almost a year now, and for the most part I'm absolutely loving it! Of course there are those times when I get a little homesick, but the positives of living in this amazing city outweigh the negatives. I'd say I'm a pretty typical 21 year old. I'm in love with playing, and listening to music. I've always had a keen interest in punk rock, there's just something about watching a concert, being surrounded by energy that really gets me going. I also enjoy sports, primarily baseball. I love going to ballgames, I feel like I'm on top of the world, sitting there in right field of Denver's own Coors Field. I'm always open to meeting new people, when I first moved here, that was a bit of a challenge due to the huge culture shock to me, but I'm starting to go out more often and opening my mind to new ideas every day.
Well, I have a pretty open past. I was born in San Diego, moved to Montana, where I spent most of my life. I lived a typical small town life, up until my 7th grade, that's when I discovered the guitar. I practiced a lot, started a band. I never thought I was ever too good, but I was having so much fun playing punk rock with 2 of my best friends, and people started picking up on us. Soon enough we were filling up various local event halls, and later on we actually went on a month long tour all around the Northwest. High school was great, I had so many friends, and was so cool being known as "Roger, that guy from that band". But graduation came, and it hasn't really been the same since then. It's just been kind of hard accepting that people move on, you know? I tried college, dropped out, got a job, and eventually I just decided that I needed to get out of Montana, now I'm in Colorado, just working on experiencing life as an adult, on my own.
Well, that's what I'm working on trying to figure out, everyday I think, where will I be in 5 years? So on a personal level, I'm looking forward to a friend moving to Denver, this girl that I was seeing off and on back in MT, she's really cool, I love her, and I guess we'll see how things work out with that. On a career level, currently I'm working at Directv, as a certified technician. It's a pretty low end job, well I mean, it's better than fast food, but I want to do something better, I just don't feel like I've accomplished anything yet. I'm currently looking into going back to school. I've been leaning towards getting an associates degree in HVAC/R, which basically involves commercial refrigeration and ventilation. But we'll have to see what the future brings me.
