i know that one who has no expectations is never disappointed but how can i have no expectations when i give so much?  and if i do have expectations, and they are not met, how can i get passed it and move on in the relationship?  or should i?  are there certain disappointments over values not shared that are worth dropping friendships over?  or do you just keep plugging away and get whatever you can and transcend the disappointments?

would love some sharing from you out there...

Thanks for commenting on my ask, my friend. About expectations I can say that you can expect only from yourself, others are not obligated to do anything the way you;ve expected them to do it. they are doing the best they can in that particular moment. I have expectation on my own, I guess subconcious... which I am not aware of them and at some point can have resentment, as I expect the person to behave like me... but the person is diffrent, they behave in their own way and I've stopped trying to change them. also... the pain comes because reality doesn't match your expectations and it's hard to accept it...the good news it that you can always look at it from another angle.. and realise and that everything is happening for good.
