so, nothin like havin your heart ripped out

yah... imonna spare everyone details, my fiance and i, planning our wedding with our 6 month old baby boy, i find out has been having a boyfrind on the side. i almost loose myself. as well as i haven't been doing tools for a couple months. anyways, its been way too many times that this chick has done this to me and im a very devoted guy and a forgiving guy which in the end i guess is my weakness because that is easy to take advantage of. by now i do lose sleep over not seeing my son all the time like i did before. Now im gonna give tools my all, try to have a little patience for the details to be worked out with my son and be there every chance i get for my boy. He is my whole life.

Hi Scotttay1

There are so many good guys like you out there that get treated like s*** by their girlfriends. Having been in some not so great relationships in the past I would really appreciate to have a good guy that treats me good. Unfortunatelly these women just don't know how good it is for them to have such a devoted man-they don't appreciate what they have and it infuriates me as they just don't realize how lucky they are. Its not your fault, keep being who you are and the right girl who appreciates you will come along. As for your son,if there are any problems you may have with access,go through the legal channels. Tools will help as it will build you up so do keep at it. Heart goes out to you and just focus for now on getting through Tools and being a good Dad to your son. Peace and take care, Mumski

I guess these women are penalizing you for being nice, perhaps they infer from that you are easy to manipulate.  I am divorced, and I have to make maximum effort to keep the peace with my ex so my relationship with my daughter doesn't suffer.

keep with the tools, practice what you are preaching.  are you monitoring the advice given here regarding relationships?  there are experts to help you emphasize your strengths and eliminate your weaknesses.

sounds like you are a good guy who was raised right.

one last thought.  I know you say you are ok with the blue collar thing, but I once knew a guy who was in his 50s and had been paving roads his whole life.  He implored me not to be a manual laborer because of the physical damage it had caused his body over the years.  Also, the higher salaries involve telling other people what to do and how to do it.
