eco-Excuse: "But I don't want to waste paper."

In the first week, I was not using the checklist because I try to be as paper-free as I can and I do not even have a printer to use if I wanted to.

Then I had a realization that I can write the checklist down in my "Notebook" section of my Blackberry and have it with me all the time. This was a great thing to do because it also means that I have to type all the items on the checklist which makes me pay more attention to them.

Today, I was told to print out the "Excuse Log" and write down any excuses I make. Anticipating the excuses I would make for not writing them down, "I don't have the list with me," or "I don't have anything to write it down with," or "once I had my log, I had forgotten what it was I wanted to write down," I created a list in my "Notebook" on my Blackberry for my "Excuse Log." This way, I should always have it with me and I do not have any excuses for not writing down my excuses!

I truly believe that we can eliminate 90% of the paper that we use thanks to the technology we have access to.  In turn we can save the rainforests and try to help the earth naturally balance out all of the horrible carbon emissions that humans put out, by allowing trees to do what they do naturally.

So, use whatever you have at your disposal to avoid having to print out all of the lists and you can help to save our environment at the same time as not having any excuses as to why you didn't follow through with the TOOLS program!
