Day 8

Dr Appt Results - Yeah!!!

Well, the results of my complete bloodwork came back and I have great blood chemistry, my thyroid is good - which is a miracle for the women in my family and a testimonial for the way that I eat and excercise even though it needs to improve it is better than the women in my family who all have "thyroid" problems and therefore have too much weight and just give up.  No cholestrol problems, no triglyceride issues, etc.  And best of all no STD problems, except of course for HSV1, which is the virus that the Dr says about 40 million Americans have, the one that gives us cold sores etc.  and that my boyfriend may or may not have given to me because I am pretty sure I had a cold sore when I was younger.  Which means I have had the virus in my body since then and have been carrying it around since then.  Scary.  Another scary thing is that if you don't specifally ask for it they don't screen for HSV1 or HSV2 in the standard STD screening.  And that the tests can come back with false negatives or positives, etc.

I hope that everyone goes and gets checked.  I admit it was scary waiting for the results, I was pretty sure I was going to be OK but knowing I was was wonderful.
