Usually on weekends I spend one day doing things for me, getting stuff I want to do done, etc. and the other day I go out with friends or family. This weekend, however, I just needed some 'time' to slow down, and get back to my routine, get grounded and just be simple. So this weekend I spent totally by myself mostly in silence, focussing on the lessons I'm learning in Tools, walking in the neighbourhood, trying to stay present, and just trying to bring some simplicity back to my mind and life. I believe that in the simple things we find great joy and satisfaction. Alot of times I think I complicate things way too much. This weekend was about getting back to more simple things and slowing down the monkey mind chatter. And, being motivated I restarted my diet and exercise program (thanks in no small part to the motivation and fitness challenges here on TOOLS!). I'm ending my weekend ready and organized for the coming week. And, I feel content rather than stressed!
