Reminders

As I continue to apply for jobs and continue to hear nothing back, my spirits have begun to fall. I have dozen excuses for what is happening and then I remember NO EXCUSES, NO COMPLAINTS. So what do I do? I get proactive, and creative and use my TOOLS.

My daughter is doing Tools also, so she has been getting on my case to get back on track by going over the old lessons, follow my checklists, etc. I love having in house support for keeping on track, yet I know that I should be able to do that for myself.  Anyway, after a little break and falling off the wagon, so to speak, I am back and ready to continue on my journey to make my dreams come true. One of the most creative ideas that I am rather proud of is my life brochure that I made myself. I have updated it and printed it off to carry with me at all times. This little brochure has my checklists, my self description and the description of my ideal partner, my rules  and questions to ask myself when I am in doubt, plus pictures that inspire me.

job hunting

do not get discouraged- times are hard and finding a jobwith a salary that is :your worth" is even more difficult. If I may help let me know- I teach business communications at a college and coach my grads into placement with a 87% placement rate- sometimes it is only a matter of having 2-3 resumes on file- changing information and format can make a HUGE impact on how it is recieved- and cover letters are the number one overlooked "must". Follow up and a simple Thank you letter and I have even advised showing up with bribery doughnuts make it impossible to be b forgotten one if it is a position you crave.   Touch base - Sheila
