adjustment

something happened to my back.  it's a mystery; not important.  but i've been laid up for a week, with little to do but lay staring at the ceiling, occasionally howling in pain to break up the monotony.  except for the pain part, i've been pretty cheerful about the whole thing--until today.  today i started feeling sorry for myself, started worrying about work and lost wages, worrying about the future...

but today is no different than yesterday--if anything i was in less pain today.  so it was strange that my attitude took a dive today.

anyway, day 15, and gratitude is the name of the game.  i listed all the people who have helped me with this little spinal crisis  i don't feel sorry for myself anymore; instead i am grateful that i have people who care about me.  that's fortunate.

and as for the back-thing,  i've been running myself to ruin for a  year and a half.  i knew i needed to change things, lessen the commute, etc.  i didn't listen to my body until now.

i'm listening...

GOOD TO KNOW ...

Pain is diminishing, that is a good news.  Wishing for you a speedy recovery from your back problem.  Just take extra caution when you pull or push heavy things.  Give your body time to recuperate before you do any drastic movement.  Take it easy.  Hot compress should help alleviate the pain.

You are, indeed, fortunate to have those people around you in needy times.  Yes, gratitude is an important component and, indeed, the name of the game.

I hope you'll have a speedy recovery.  Enjoy the journey.  Clap, splash, brush, smile.  Have a great pain-free day, skarla!

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss
