BOOST TO BOOST

Hey smilin - remember me from BPDR? Good to seeya still around here: I took a long break but had to come back, I missed it! I would like to THANK YOU so very much for mentioning this site all that time ago. It's had a major impact on the quality of my life (it's pretty darn good now). Hope you are doing well, also! And wonderful times for you and your family during the Holy Days, whatever you believe or celebrate. Thanks again, smilin!

Hi Oceanheart -

Of course I remember you.  Matter of fact I had just been thinking of you and wondering how you were doing, so it is great to hear from you !

Yes, this program has been great, hasn't it?  Just the other day I was commenting to myself about the ways it has impacted my life.  I am not as stressed as I had been, and am handling adversity much better.

Glad to hear things are going so well for you. Please keep in touch.

Here's to you have continued success and joy in the upcoming year(s) !

Smilin ~

all questions»

I am having a heck of a time of it regarding work. I am behind on a project and while I am more than capable of completing it and doing a good job fear and anxiety have such a grip on me; that I am freezing.

At the times I have taken a hold of things and focused on the work vs the expectations of myself I have been able to make slow progress.

I need help in getting past the anxiety. All the self-talk Ive given has not helped. All the steps to picking up and working on have been met with yet one more problem or challenge.

Please help me get my head re-focused , or perhaps more so this is my belief about myself-

a) not good enuf

b) being observed by many if not all

c) not capable (tho nothing other than the fear is actually hard on this assignment)

Thanks

Sorry I've not returned sooner to thank you for the support and comment on what has transpired since.

The support I've received here is fantastic, ty so very much !

I have come here a few times to read, and am sure I will return. Each of these suggestions is and has been quite helpful.

I did speak to someone to get more information; another view on an approach to the project and this seems to have provided further direction and made the task feel less overwhelming.

I have likewise been tackling the project in small pieces.  When my frustration is up or concentration fails I am walking away from it versus trying to push thru it thinking I can finish it  'if only' or 'once I get past __ '.

My hardest challenge is to keep myself relaxed thru any of the methods mentioned above, but, I am making more of an effort.

Atm, two things have occurred that have had me deviate from this project- Ive had to train a new employee and a work that is a higher priority (tho this is significant and I need to make time for it) so an update is still to come of saying 'its done' and relating how Ive managed to get to that point.

I will say however, that, the support here has encouraged me and provided a much needed perspective.  Ty all very much.

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
I want to make some changes and I am more effective when I work within a structure.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
Working with others as they grow and change or advocating for a cause.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
The famous chef must be my dad. I would request his Beef Stronganoff with rice as I did most birthdays that I spent at home. Would also want his popovers. Desert would be a carrot cake.
Why:
Perhaps because it reminds me of dad. Perhaps because it is just great food that I don't eat often !
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
 White Russian
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
 Vanillia Mocha Cappucinno Decaf
