I am a 39 year old mother of 2 teenage boys.  I have always been smart, outgoing, and definitely an entreprenuer.  I had great jobs, and made many friends and acquaintances on the way.  The problem is I am just to nice to the point where I lost my home, my vehicle and my company. 

This started out with me at a very early age.  I remember being around 9 years old sneaking food out of the refrigerator to feed this homeless man in my neighborhood and stealing my mother's cigarettes to give to him.  I would sometimes get spankings or put on punishment for doing this, but I continued my behavior.  To this day, I still feed the homeless (which I will always do), but the bigger problem is when people ask to borrow money, or they call me to take them places even though I am dead tired I always do it even though I would rather say no! Many people have taken advantage of this by not paying me back and more hurtful is by not returning the favor when I need something.  I mean me not being able to say no caused me to get a felony 5 on my record because I didn't want the confrontation to say I just didn't have the money for my rent and because he said that he needed money to go into his bank account because his financial situation was in turmoil, I wrote him a check hoping that someone would pay me back that had borrowed from me so that I could re-open my bank account to satisfy the check I had written and I got in trouble.  I own a business where people need to pay for services up front.  Every day someone tells me a story about their hard times, or they got laid off, or their check was short and I would just say "OK" pay me next week and then I ended up not being paid at all which then meant I can't pay my rent at home, I can't pay my rent at the office or any bills for that matter which in a nutshell is how I ended up in my current situation.

I have decided to fight back and tell people how I feel.  I realized that by helping everyone else I have hurt myself and have really hurt my family.  I almost went to jail because of this and I am here to tell you that noone and nothing is worth losing your family.  It is time for me to grab the bull by the horns and I want each of you reading this to follow me through this process and share your opinions, insight, and encouragement along the way.  It is going to be hard for me because I am still "afraid" in a sense, but when I look at it, and realize how much my 2 boys mean to me this is a situation that I MUST take control of.
