I'm turning 45 years old next month and I'm absolutely ok with the number but put the number together with the words, "and never been married" and all of a sudden I feel a sense of DOOM!  That's 5 years away from 50. Okay I hear Coach Steele saying turn this problem into an opportunity.

I'm going to start with asking my friends on Tools for Life how did you meet the person you are sharing your life with now, whether it be a spouse, boyfriend or girlfriend?

I know I need to create opportunities to meet men and I hoping I'll find some new ideas from the stories people post.

Hi there...Happy Birthday!  I was in the same position as you 2 years ago.  I finally decided to pour myself into creating a holistic community in a place that I was transplanted to.  Well...my husband walked in the door of the place that I was creating.  The whole story is really a very long story but there it is in a nutshell.  I think part of it is people can smell needy and wanting...when they see a person following their dreams out in the open then they are attracted to that person.

What is your answer?

I joined TOOLS because:
it looks like an incredible site with a lot to offer and there is no expense to participate. I always believe in personal growth and this site allows you to work on different areas of your life.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
I'm partial to cat's, specially a certain Siamese, Tabby cross with these beautiful blue eyes, who loves cuddling with me in bed, my little 4 legged alarm clock, Fozzy, also known as FozzyBear.
Why:
She is all personality, and has attractive markings on body. She's a talker, very curious and social, always going up to say hi to anyone walking by and they also stop to tell her how pretty she is and have a little chat and pet her. Sometimes I think she believes she is part dog. I couldn't imagine my life with her in it.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
I would order a healthy, hot meal for the homeless that the Chef and I would decide on together, ask him if I can cook with him and if he will join me if going down to the streets and handing out the incredible meal we will serve to the people who are often grateful for a half eaten sandwich from the garbage or a meal at the soup kitchen.
Why:
I would have more pleasure from that opportunity then sitting around with friends, eating a decadent meal, feeling stuffed and that experience not holding much meaning. If Chef and I cooked together for the homeless, I would hope the experience would mean as much to him as it would to me and that would be an experience that would stay with me a lifetime.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
My Grandpa and Grandma on my Dad's side who are both deceased. The other 3 quests haven't come to mind yet.
Why:
My Dad was born in India, my Mom was born in Germany
My perfect slice of pizza is:
is Vegetarian from Eva's in Maple Ridge. Pizza has always been one of my favorite foods, ever since I was a child and I went to Shaky's Pizza for my birthday. Since I moved to Penticton just over 4 years ago I've rarely eaten Pizza as no one makes Pizza likes Eva's in Maple Ridge. The crust has a crispness on the outside and a chewiness on the inside. The pizza sauce has flavour, the vegetables are fresh, your pizza does not get soggy from the mushrooms or vegies and the cheese, he must use a combination of cheeses and get's it just to the right temperature in the oven where there is a browning of the cheese on the top and the cheese has flavor. The best pizza, highly recommended and missed!
