I got ripped off by someone I thought was a friend 3 years ago and I can't seem to get over it. Everytime I see him I boil. I think about it to much and I just want to get over it.

Strange how things happen, I am in a similar place, and am trying to learn to 'let go'.  I started reading a book, "A New Earth, Awakening to your Life's Purpose" by Eckhart Tolle.  It has some pretty interesting stuff that may help you.  I know it's been somewhat eye opening to me at this point.

By the way, I grew up in Sarnia and told a friend of mine from Bright's Grove about tools.  Small world...

Stick with the tools it will help, I'm already half way through and it has been profound but you gotta stick with it.

I too just started reading Eckhart Tolle's book "A New Earth, awakening to your Life's Purpose", and after reading the first few pages found myself saying "This feels like it's been written for me". I find it really odd and amazing how things are beginning to fall into place for me. The more I continue to work on me, the more I begin to find the answers to me questions.

Not sure if this will help you, so just play along, and see where it takes you.

Byron Katie has a great website and you might want to check it out.

Our thoughts about certain things are what create our feelings at this time.

Your friend reminds you of someone or something that happened to you long before your friend ripped you off.

By noticing the similiarities, and by changing your own thoughts it may help you with the way you look at your friend now.

Who does this friend remind you of?

When was the last time you felt like this?

Let me know if this helps

I also forgot to mention that it's okay to feel those thoughts. The first part of change is noticing your own feelings. You're doing that.

Accept that you feel those feelings, and then see how you can change those feelings by changing your thoughts.
