"A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
Albert Einstein

Interesting way of looking at life as human beings!

Summer

I thought this was interesting!

Spiritual HealingDid you know you can heal yourself? Many people might find this hard to believe but it is true. Within in the body you have a spirit and when you breathe and listen it is as though the spirit breathes with you. When you start to feel this You awakened to all the wonderful things in your life. You feel happy and the essence of love surrounds you and everything is in balance. The whole world wants to know you and you have a beautiful multicolour aura that shines with golden light. But If you live a life of unhappiness and stress, the inner body or spiritual body becomes blocked to “Healing Life Energy or Universal Energy”. This is the energy that moves so freely through your body when you are happy. This Universal energy flows through the body as life-force energy and has many different names like Chi and prana etc. Within this energy system there are chakras. Chakra comes from a (Sanskrit) word which translates to wheel or disc and these chakras cover every area in the body. Most are quite small but there are seven main chakras located along the central line of the body, from the base of the spine to the top of the head. These chakras or discs of energy have corresponding colours and when put together make up the layers of the aura somewhat like a rainbow. The Base chakra’s main colour is red and has to do with Earth energy. It is located at the base of the spine. The Sacral chakra’s main colour is orange and deals with sexual energy. It is located in the groin area. The Solar plexus chakra’s main colour is yellow and has qualities related to pranic energy. It is located at the naval region. The Heart chakra’s main colour is green and resonates with the flow of unconditional love.
Sometimes I get so caught up in the "Doing"...

Do You Feel Stuck in the Doing??
Sometimes I get so caught up in the, “Doing” of things that I am lost to what is going on around me. I am so completely lost in what I am doing that it leaves me unaware of my surroundings and it may take a lot of distraction to get me out of this. This mode of, “Doing” tells me constantly that I have to make a phone call, run errands, do the laundry, complete my taxes, prepare for the meeting etc... Of course these may well be things that I have to do and when I am caught in this “Doing” mode my concentration in the having to do them can be really strong! I can go from one job to another not giving a moment’s notice and to appreciate what I am doing. AND before I have even finished my first task I am already thinking about what I have to do next.Letting go of this is not about not “Doing” things. It is about letting go of the “Doing” mode of consciousness - the attitude we bring to our doing. When I am in this state of “Doing”, my body feels tense, especially in my stomach, and I seem to take in any surrounding tension. I don’t really see what is really going on around me only what I am “Doing”. Somehow I filter out other aspects of the present moment. I miss out on the beauty that surrounds me. I become a human “Doing” rather than a human being. Although, I am not usually aware of it; I can get so lost in what I am “Doing”; there is not even space in my awareness to appreciate the fact I am caught in it. Only when I step out of the mode do I appreciate how stuck I have been. Then it seems as if I have been under some kind of spell. However, while I am under the spell, I am under the delusion that I am fully aware. Does this make sense to anyone????Consequently I asked myself the question… How can I wake up and step out of the spell I come under when caught up in the “Doing”???I thought maybe the first step would be to recognize the spell that I am under when in the “Doing trance.I found that before each task I could pause, then after each task pause once again. AND it worked; I became more aware of my surroundings. I felt my productivity was better and I was happier in what I had to do! It gave me time to savor the moment and actually enjoy what I was “Doing”. Notice how you body feels. Does it feel tense? If so take a few deep breaths. Note how your mind feels- Is there an underlying tension or stress? Do you feel over focused or a high strung intensity? No matter what it is, just take it in. Get to know the feeling of what it feels like to be under the spell of “Doing”. Then just accept it for being there and move on and believe me it will dissolve. Finally take a few breathes again and really feel your inner body. Let every breath take you within your Self and listen to where it takes you. If you are back to the stressful situation Smile and go back to your breathing. You have now learned how to excuse this undesirable situation with a little acceptance and a smile. It only takes a few breaths to help you focus on what is really going on around you and when you do you will have put your Self right. Don’t be discouraged if you felt it didn’t
read more...

You can do this lying down (as long as you are not going to fall asleep)or sitting in a comfortable chair. Close your eyes and relax and imagine you are on the top floor of a beautiful house. It has about 37 steps to get down to the main floor (The number of stairs really does not matter as long as it is not too short or too long.). Imagine yourself counting your way down the soft plush stairway that spirals down to the main floor. Starting on the 37th step you start counting backwards with each foot softly landing on each step. Breathe deeply in between each step. Feel happy knowing that there is a wonderful message waiting for you at the bottom. Count down with each footstep no stress, and very calm. Keep breathing in between each step. When you reach the bottom floor you see a comfortably decorated foyer with several doors. Outside one of the doorways is a Guardian and you ask him or her the question: "To which room should I go to?" Your Guardian gives you a friendly smile and leads you to the door to your room. You open the door and go in. What you see inside as you step into your room is entirely up to you and your imagination. Explore the room and look at every detail. Is it neat and clean or is it unorganized and cluttered? Is it welcoming and comfortable with furniture or is it empty and bare? Is it modern or full of old stuff? Whatever you see is fine. Just make a note of of it.When you feel you know the room, go and find a place to sit down. Now ask to speak your Higher self, Guardian Angels or Spirit guides. Take a few breaths and wait for them. Once you see them you may have a conversation with them. Ask them what they might want you to know. Listen closely to the answers. When you are finished, thank them and exit your room. Be sure to close the door. Back track to the staircase and back up the stairs, counting up from 1 back up to 37. When you get to the top step open your eyes slowly. Your journey to your room is complete. Later you can go back to your room any time and talk to whomever you find there. This is a great way to get clarity on a problem by asking a specific question, and going into your room to talk with your Higher Self, Guardian Angel or Spirit Guides. You can redecorate or make other changes to your room. If it's cluttered, clean it up! You might find that your life gradually starts to make sense, "more organized" by doing this. Pay attention to your dreams as they will feel more vivid and they might be trying to tell you something!
