Here is a visualization and/or meditation exercise for communicating with your subconscious mind or your Higher Self, Spiritual guides, a Higher Power, Guardian Angel and so forth...  Visualization is a great way of talking to your Guardian Angel or Spirit Guides... You can do this lying down (as long as you are not going to fall asleep)or sitting in a comfortable chair.  Close your eyes and relax and imagine you are on the top floor of a beautiful house. It has about 37 steps to get down to the main floor (The number of stairs really does not matter as long as it is not too short or too long.).  Imagine yourself counting your way down the soft plush stairway that spirals down to the main floor. Starting on the 37th step you start counting backwards with each foot softly landing on each step.  Breathe deeply in between each step. Feel happy knowing that there is a wonderful message waiting for you at the bottom. Count down with each footstep no stress, and very calm. Keep breathing in between each step.   When you reach the bottom floor you see a comfortably decorated foyer with several doors. Outside one of the doorways is a Guardian and you ask him or her the question: "To which room should I go to?" Your Guardian gives you a friendly smile and leads you to the door to your room.  You open the door and go in. What you see inside as you step into your room is entirely up to you and your imagination.  Explore the room and look at every detail. Is it neat and clean or is it unorganized and cluttered? Is it welcoming and comfortable with furniture or is it empty and bare? Is it modern or full of old stuff? Whatever you see is fine.  Just make a note of of it.When you feel you know the room, go and find a place to sit down. Now ask to speak your Higher self, Guardian Angels or Spirit guides.  Take a few breaths and wait for them. Once you see them you may have a conversation with them. Ask them what they might want you to know.  Listen closely to the answers. When you are finished, thank them and exit your room.  Be sure to close the door.  Back track to the staircase and back up the stairs, counting up from 1 back up to 37.  When you get to the top step open your eyes slowly. Your journey to your room is complete. Later you can go back to your room any time and talk to whomever you find there.This is a great way to get clarity on a problem by asking a specific question, and going into your room to talk with your Higher Self, Guardian Angel or Spirit Guides.You can redecorate or make other changes to your room.  If it's cluttered, clean it up!  You might find that your life gradually starts to make sense, "more organized" by doing this.  Pay attention to your dreams as they will feel more vivid and they might be trying to tell you something! This is a great exercise for when you are feeling anxious or uncertain about something in your life. Now you can find comfort just by going to your room!
