1st and 10 from my one 1-Yard Line

Football season is almost here! While this glorious sport remains two days away I've been thinking. I know I posted on here like a year ago that I was going to lose weight...I never did...in fact I think I gained.

But a week ago sitting here on my ass playing Madden I realized that these football players, they have to make it ten yards in order to be successful...ten measly yards...but it can be the most grinding and taxing thing ever! Kinda like losing weight.

So this is my pledge. Football season starts next week and every team is facing 1st and 10. They have four downs to get ten yards. There is four weeks to every month. I'll consider the weeks to be downs. If I make it to ten pounds in four weeks, I'm on schedule. Is it unhealthy? Maybe. Is it a goal? Hell Yes.

I will be posting again on Thursday and every following Thursday and maybe a couple days in between when I'm feeling particularly down on myself.

It's 1st and 10 people? Are you ready?

Good luck!!

Good luck my man, it will take an enormous amount of will power and strength on your part, but if you are ready for that then you will be able to do it no problem! 10 pounds a month is attainable if you are very obese.  If you are only, say 50 lbs overweight then you may want to shoot for a healthier goal of around 1-2 lbs a week.  And do it the right way, no diet pills, or shakes, or snake oils, just good old fashioned healthy eating and portioning and exercise.  Remember, it is NOT a diet, it is a lifestyle.  You ARE allowed to cheat on occasion, maybe your cheat day is Sunday, dont overdo it, but you need to keep yourself sane.  One of the best tools I have found for halping lose weight is LiveSTRONG.com.  it is a free website that gives you tips and advice about healthy lifestyles and has a fantastic built in food and exercise tracker.  Tracking your daily intake is one of the biggest things you will need to do in order to lose weight.  You should check it out!!  Good luck my man, you CAN do it!

WE ARE SO READY FOR FOOTBALL!!

Good for you!! You can do this.  It's just one first down after another all the way down the field, Baby!!!  Go Packers!!!!  Welcome to Tools!!  Julie :)
