Success....

 

Preparing for success and getting the old brain in tote. Here I come. I'm going to try to jot some things down today to prepare for what is coming tomorrow... I have a pretty good idea about where I want to go and what I want to get acccomplished this year... so far my STEP one has been road blocked. I've been trying to get a PT job at this pub for about 3 weeks but its getting a little redundant with this manager dude who has lost my resume once, not called my referances, ect. SO instead of continuing to pop in and be persistant I'm going to apply elsewhere.  I"ve been all pep-talky on myself about getting the gig at this certain place bc its so close to my house, but perhaps I should go for more places to better the odds?

I need another job bc I"m in debt big time. I had last year off work due to surgury so its totally snowballed since then. So okay, get a PT job on weekends to have extra $$ to pay off bills right? I've determined that the job I have now (a paycut from what I had before surgury) is not really doing much to advance my GOALS or my SUCCESS'S. So I'm trying to set up for maybe something with more $ to pay off bills and get a little more schooling to help advance this career. It may involve quitting my current gig and going back to FT serving for a bit, but perhaps one step back for 2 steps forward is okay... in this case.

I"m surprised I didn't hear devlynn say today about how success is about planning.... I"ve personally always beleived that. If you don't plan for success it sure as hell doesn't fall into your lap. In order to plan for success I beleive you have to know what you want, otherwise you may make the wrong plans.

Well let it be known. I want to travel accross an ocean and see parts of europe (perhaps knock a couple life goals off the list) and then proceed to Australia, New Zeland, Fiji that type of thing. Thats the whole point of the other job. Sure as hell cant go there while I"m in raging debt. So I've got 2/3 years to getter done. I want to be there already or Going for my 30th birthday.

So thats it. Thats what I want. I've learned that buying a house/nice car/whatever doesn't do much for you if other areas of your life are the shits. Like devlynn says success is about balance. Success is about everything, not one thing like job. I'm not 100% happy with me bc of other areas that are lacking so thats gotta get fixed. Tools is helping but I have a long way to go. My brain pathways are better, but its still easier for me to pick the old bad ways of thinking. So I'm on it. Working on it, plugging away. More later for ya I have to run out now but thought I'd jam in a bit of yaking here before I left. lol totally going to be a friday night blogger later. ha ha ha

I hear Ya...

On the house and car. I currently rent, and drive a European Luxury car. My idea was that I spend the majority of my time in the car, getting from work, to school, to other activities, treat myself.. Sadly, that seems to be the only activity that I can afford with going back to school. 

 

The Car is nice, no question, but has limited my finances on what I do outside of that. I can't wait to get rid of it, so I can travel more... Where in Europe do you want to go?

 

And I agree, and Coach does make note that you have to plan for your success.. you just have not made it to that part yet!

Point your bow down wind, sling out your boom and raise your jib and you will be there in no time, don't forget to keep your main sail from luffing.  I'm sure you know a little water over the rails is a lot of fun.

My plans are to hit up Australia, New Zealand, etc. for my 40th bday. BUT, if I can get there sooner, that would be cool too! You can do it!
