Basically, not much to tell. I'm a woman who has suffered from low self-esteem for much of my life, and because of this, I believe the reason why I drink too much, don't take advantages of the talents God gave me, and just basically have never quite figured out what it truly means to be happy.

I see a counselor, I'd like to learn to drink in moderation - no more than 2 drinks twice a week - EVER. My plan is to not drink while I go through this program. Today, day 1, is the last time I drink for a while. For reinforcement, I'm taking medication and doing the My Way Out program.

I'm hoping this program is the first step in my new happy, productive life.

I joined TOOLS because:
I heard about it on Sirius, people rave about it. Regular counseling isn't doing the trick and it's expensive. This is free, and people seem to have fantastic results. Why not?
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
If I knew that, maybe I wouldn't need this. I'd be my own boss, set my own hours. There would be no dress code. That doesn't mean I wouldn't work hard, or work long hours, it just means it would be done on my terms. Business suits and pantyhose would not exist in my world.
My favorite wild animal is:
 Deer.
Why (describe as much as possible):
They are so sweet and gentle looking. Where I live, they are pretty much domesticated, so you can get up close and personal with them. My neighbors don't like them - they eat the landscaping. I have nothing but weeds at the moment, which unfortunately, they don't seem to like.
My favorite domestic animal is (if you choose dog be specific with breed etc):
Dog - my favorite breed is anything that can be rescued from the pound or rescue group. My personal favorite is large breeds (80+ lbs), but I'll take the dog most in need of a home.
Why:
Pet overpopulation. Breeders of designer dogs, also known as mutts, should be shot. In the immortal words of Bob Barker, please spay or neuter your pet! STEPPING OFF SOAP BOX NOW.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
Beef carpaccio served atop field greens with carmelized onions, parmegiano reggiano, and a balsamic reduction, with a little wasabe on the side.
Why:
While I can grill an awesome filet myself, I sure as hell am not going to play with raw beef. Hello e-coli.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, Barack Obama, Jason Ellis, & Chuck the Freak.
Why:
I want to talk to the first two about the making of my all time favorite movie; Barack just seems like a cool guy to have an intelligent conversation with; and the last two because I want to have a contest to see which one will make me laugh so hard I cry first.
If a pilot would fly you anywhere you want, you would go to:
 Tikal Guatemala
My perfect slice of pizza is:
Bacon, onions & hot pepper seeds
You are at a bar. You order this drink:
Well, if I'm drinking, a chardonnay. If I'm not drinking, hopefully coke zero, or I'll make do with diet coke or diet pepsi.
You are at a coffee shop. What coffee or tea do you order:
I don't drink coffee, so bring on the Earl Grey!
If a genie could grant you three wishes they would be (separate by commas):
Enough money for DH & I to retire tomorrow, enough money to fully fund DS's college fund, make me a size 8 and look like I'm 30.
You are going on a long road trip and you can only bring three CD's. Which ones do you bring (separate by commas):
For DS - the Wiggles, for DH - the Allman brothers, for me - I'll burn 80 minutes of Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Atreyu, Panic at the Disco, Bad Religion, AFI, Serj Tankian We get to keep our Sirius, right???????????
If I could do anything for my neighborhood today, it would be:
Make all of my neighbors landscaping deerproof.
A sunset I remember:
Being in the Florida Keys, somewhere on the highway off of Marathon. The ex & I pulled over, and a bunch of us walked out onto the old freeway to the point where it was cut off, sat around, drank beer, and watched the sun set into the ocean. Everyone cheered. I can't wait to do it again someday.
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
Mary Bailey from "It's a Wonderful Life".
Why:
She fixed up the old Grandville home.
