I've been writing my thesis for a while and for the last month or so i've been stuck. i mean seriously stuck!
i know the content which i should put on the 'paper', i have structured it, done everything humanly possible in planning. the problem was that when ever i started writing i wasn't happy about the text. it just didn't feel good enough. i didn't quit though. i just kept banging my head against the wall.
today i decided to do something different. i started remembering those situations where i could produce a lot of text very quickly. then it just popped in my head. whenever i had participated in exams i had succeeded in producing lots of text in very little time.
i went to a bookshop, bought my self the same paper used in the exams at my university. then i started making exam questions of the titles and subtitles i had structured in my plan. after that i took my pencil and the exam papers and started answering the questions i had made.
just in 1,5 hours i wrote five pages of text to the exam papers which, when i wrote them on my computer, made up just over two pages.
i guess this is an opportunity which arose from a situation i had to overcome. now i know my thesis, the wall i have to climb over to get to the other side, will be finished.
