My Holiday!

Approximately three weeks ago, me, my girlfriend and her family went on holiday for about 5 days.  As usual, with everyone I am sure, we had to go through some military style planning to make sure we ( meaning I as I am the most forgetfull!) packed everything and had everything done.

Eventually we were on our way, and starting our 4 hour journey to the far west of the UK. Great journey apart the occasional idiot trying to either race us or run us of the road.

But as soon as I got to the sea, the view, fresh  air and quietness of it made it all worthwhile!! We had arrived and it was deserted -  but better than that - it was sunny!!!!

For the next 4-5 days, we spent a lot of our time going for nice long walks along the clifftop and the beach -  and the rest relaxing somewhere sunny!!

During this holiday, I must have lost like 2-3 pounds in weight, purely through walking that much ( also hurt my back somehow it appears but ah well )  But more importantly, it was great to forget the pressures of life for those few days, and act like a big kid splashing around in the sea!

I even had this little "mini" adventure!  The only place I could get a phone/internet signal was on the very top of the cliff.  So I would get up early, run up the cliff, get the messages, then run back down, jump over a stream run up the sand dunes and to the shop to get a newspaper!!

Without going on for too much more, it was a great time  - Pictures being updated soon!! - but more importantly, it serves a purpose

There is always space in life to have those moments to act like a big kid and have silly fun - It really refreshed me and can't wait till the next one!!Laughing

Wishing you a great day!!

Oliver

HAPPINESS IS ... BEING A KID!

Good to know of a great outcome of your much-needed "relaxation and play" outside the hustle bustle of all the hi-techs.

Glad to see you back, all refereshed and rejuvinated.  You do deserve it, Mr. Ollie!

Clap, splash, brush, smile.  Have a great day, BK!  (will let you guess this oneCooland have the energized brain work).  Oh, answer delivered ... upon request.

Cheers,

Autumn MistKiss

You did it! You did it! ... and you're back!

Sandcastles

Looking forward to seeing those photos.

I like days by the British seaside, building sand castles with moats.... etc , well when I was kid that was. maybe I'd enjoy it now. Been to some great beaches in the very north of Scotland, you would not think, as good as any beach I've seen around Europe, shame about the weather sometimes.

Glad you had a great time and you came back refreshed.

Have a great day, you big kid.
