31 And Counting

In the next few days, it will be my birthday - 31 years old and counting!!

However, as with every birthday, it provides me with many mixed emotions that are hard to explain in writing - but thought this year I would try!!

Every birthday, I feel a sense of disapointment that I am another year older, but haven't achieved what I wanted as of yet. But as soon as my birthday comes and goes, it provides me with immense motivation to make the next year the best ever ( this year I hope it is!!)

Also, I feel very happy and proud that I am who I am, and the life that I have - I feel very lucky to be who I am - However I feel very emotional in relation to the missed opportunities in life, and the loved ones who are no longer in my life for one reason or another. There are people who I will never forget about...

I don't worry about the age and being a year older, it is just a number - I guess my mind starts working overtime at this time of year. It feels good to write about them though.

Well thanks for reading! and If I am still part of the community/support team in 12 months time look out for a similar blog!!

I would like to say thank you and well done to all the great people on the programs.  I have been amazingly proud of how many of you have made their lives better through their own sheer hard work.  Keep up the great work

OH Oliver

I am so sorry. THIRTY It is all down hill from now on. Your hair will gray, you chest becomes your belly, kids will refer to you as the old man. JUST KIDDING Every age is a great age. . . it just keeps getting better and better. Your experiences will enrich your life (it it doesnt kill you . . . kidding again). It is surprising how much more you live as you get older. Embrase every 0 and every 5 in your age. Just imagine the fuss people will be making over you when you hit 100. What a party. I have already ordered my 100th birthday party and have started to invite my friends now in case I don't remember later.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY. Everyday should be your birthday you are special. Debbie

hey

I've enjoyed each decade more than the last.  Well, truth be told, the last coupla years haven't been so great, but overall, it just gets better and better.  40 I found was the best so far - you are who you are at 40.  You ain't going to change for anyone else - you might for yourself.  You know yourself.

I'm looking forward to 50.  I figure it's gotta continue to be all up from here!

Have a wonderful day, and celebrate.  Yes, mourn a bit for those things that are past, but then fold them sweetly and put them away in a cedar-lined box to preserve the memories for a long time.  Your space will be clear and open for new memories to fit in.  Then go out and make them!

time to get into "classic" clothing styles

I'm almost 30 and keep thinking 'So this is it...I really have to be a grown-up now'.

Wink

oh and

Happy Birthday! Hope everyone treats you extra-nice. x
