I am a work in progress.

I love life and typically have a sunny disposition.  I inherently trust people and know we are all just trying to be all we can be.  My friends see this as being a bit naive and I'll admit I am a bit lacking in the street smarts.  But bless the kind hearts of humanity I have not been hurt to the point of any scars.

I love learning new stuff - mainly cause I don't know what I am good at yet.

I have a loving husband that is very forthcoming about his love.  It isn't a perfect relationship but it has great potential!

I am working at a job that pays well but is lacking in fulfillment so I know it will only be a matter of time before I move to my next career.  I have no idea what that might be yet.  Perhaps health science (nutrition) or fitness (tai chi or martial arts).  What ever it is I will need to go back to school, which is exciting.  Can't learn enough new stuff in a lifetime.

Well that is a brief glimpse into me.  Feel free to contact me and we can have a virtual coffee.

all questions»

This spring I decided to take lessons and learn to sing... things are going smashingly well.  I got to sing on a choir for a Queen tribute show held at our theatre.  I then got invited to sing with a friends band.  Funny story behind that but I'll save some time and get to the chase.

My friend and singing coach have both said I need to let loose, to hold nothing back and literally scream out some lyrics.  This is so obscure to me... I don't scream... no really... I actually had my figure stuck in a closed car door and had the composure to ask the person to roll down the window so that I could explain that they might want to unlock the door and open it so that I could remove my trapped finger.  It hurt like stink but I just didn't think (nor would I want to) scream my plea for freedom through a closed window.

I need to overcome this to take my voice to the next level.

So my questions are... Has anyone had this problem while singing?  Has anyone overcome this need for control?  Has anyone overcome?  If so how'd ya do it?

Any guidance would be muchly appreciated.

I love to sing and I really want to do this well.

One more note: if you do a wrong note or forget a word just keep going, if you stop everyone notices, if you keep going they think it's part of the act... I learned that from my guitar teacher, he said if you stop you look silly and loose your composure, it hard to start again... so just pass it by and no one will even notice... be calm and pick up the beat... They call it improvisation I think... LOL

What is your answer?

My Personal Assessment is not public.

I joined TOOLS because:
I love the concept of a life coach. Not only that I am in desparate need of one. I want to get a handle of my life. Although I am blessed (really blessed) I am somewhat careless with my gifts. I do not control my life I just go along for the ride. I want to direct it upward and onward. I think that would reduce the stress and tendency of feeling unworthy of what I have.
You are offered your dream job. What job is it?:
Hum sadly I don't know what the job is specifically. I do know it would be something that I excelled at. I am average at everything I do and that is a point of frustration. I want to be stellar at something. Not just stellar but inspirational.
A famous Chef will prepare anything you want. What do you order:
Steak Oscar with all the trimmings.
Why:
Beef tenderloin fillets are grilled then topped with wonderful king crab meat and sometimes shrimp. It is then drizzled with hollandaise sauce. Asparagus is grilled along side. And you cannot forget the creamy garlic mash potatoes. This to me is the best meal ever. The portions don't have to be big... in fact it is better if there is room for a rich cup of coffee and crème brulee. Glorious.
Five people either dead or alive you would have at your fantasy dinner party::
My dad Mom Steve, my husband Jesus My sister.
Any character I could be from a movie, TV show or book would be:
 Laura Croft...
Why:
Beauty, brains, money, strength, sense of purpose, and kick ass moves.
