Easing in to Tools

I am enjoying Tools.  It certainly helped this morning was feeling kind of low, overwhelmed.  Even at the gym...go figure.  Changed that, the point is to be aware of the thoughts and feelings and as soon as you can introduce a new thought.  Life is good,  no feeling is permanent.

I release negativity and overwhelmment

Peace

Being overwhelmed can make you feel tired.

I know from past experience that when I'm overwhelmed or anxious, I often feel tired. Very strange. You'd think your adrenalin would be pumping like mad, it's just the opposite for me. Once I get busy and start doing things that need to be done, I feel more awake and calmer. Sometimes it doesn't work. The other day I went to the gym but never really "woke up". I came right home after and still felt like I had a wet blanket draped over me. I don't know what that's all about, maybe depression? Whatever, I'm just going to keep ignoring the voice in my head that tells me "you're too tired". I'm going to keep working this program. I'm going to learn to love myself and enjoy my life experience and then I will help others do the same. Definitely something worth fighting for...

Overwhelmment...

The state of being overwhelmed.  Hmmm... I also release it.  No need to be overwhelmed.  Will just do what I can do within the space of 16-17 hours of awake time and let go of the rest until I can get up and get to it.  Can't do more than I can do.  Could maybe do more than I do...

Me, too!

Thanks for the reminder that I can choose to release the overwhelmed feeling. I felt that alot during the last year, my first year of teaching. In fact, I think I use that term alot....maybe it is an excuse to do nothing. I agree with confident1 that "overwhelmed " makes me feel tired. I think action is the anidote.
