Finally decided I deserve respect

Once my 3 children hit adulthood, they decided that I am the person that they can take every problem and bad feeling out on in their lives. They publicly flog and air their negative feelings about our family in a very public way. It was my youngest son, who looked at me and told me 2 things:

Mom - You need to try Tools to life, it helped me through my most darkest time

And - Mom, my brother and sister are not happy with their own lives so they attack you and they will destroy you. You started having a drinking problem when my brother publically cut you off at his wedding. You need to let it go.

This Sunday is my birthday and I very nicely let everyone know that I have plans and do not wish for them to fit me into their schedule this year. Every time they come over I am very depressed when they leave. I feel relieved and am looking forward to spending the day in peace!
