not a good day

Had a day off from work today.  So I went shopping and whatnot.  I dropped off a donation to project linus (charity blankets for children) and spent the day alone.

Spending all day alone is not good - as I was able to think uninterrupted - and it did not take long to turn to negative thoughts.  I kept trying to stop myself and it would work for a few minutes and that is it.  My mind would return soon enough to fears and doubts.

I know what I am supposed to do.  But I am not strong enough to do it all the time.

advise?

a day alone doesn't have to be bad all the time.

and thinking about the negative things isn't a shame or sometimes everybody has it.

you just have to learn to control your thougt more.

have you every tryed visualisation or meditation?

well maybe it's good to try for you.

i'm just giving advise you do with it what you want to do with it.

keep the smile on your face and think about the good memories.

greetings

Accentuate the positive

It is difficult to totally eliminate negative thought, maybe impossible, the best we can do is get the balance shifted in the favour of positivity.

Don't give up, whwn you catch yourself being negative, think the exact opposite.

All the best

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

Keep going...

You've made a great start. Keep going and you will find tools to deal specifically with the things you talk about in your post. One thing I have done with trying to change my thought patterns is set a timer and see how long I could go without the thought I was trying to rid myself of. It takes work but helps you build the habit. It might only be 10 seconds between thoughts but you can work up to 20..30..a whole minute and before you know it you've gone a 1/2 hour without the negativity creeping in, then an hour, a few hours...a day!
