need to back up

So I have decided to back up a few days on Tools and try it again.  I am at Day 9-10 now and I cannot keep up with the list of things to do.  I think I need to back up about 2 days on Tools and redo those last few lessons - they are apparently not sticking.

My guy is coming to visit me from home tomorrow (I am away for a summer job) and I am not sure I am looking forward to it.  Last time we saw each other we almost broke up.  Things are rocky.  I just know that I love him but I do not think he loves me.  He does not express emotions well.  I am such pain over this.  And I have tried to distract myself with all the smiling and clapping and it is not working right now.

I hope everyone is having a happy holiday - and if you do not live in the US --- happy Friday to you anyway.

:)

Hang in there

Hang in there - if you need to back up a few days in Tools, go for it.  The checklist can get overwhelming even at Day 9 or 10 until you get used to it.  Tools should be helpful not an additional stress.  Have a good weekend with your guy.  Hoping things go well for you! Happy Friday and Independence Day to you!

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

Inner Voice

You're not alone You're not alone

Yes, do what you feel will work best to move you forward with growth and change at the pace you need.

It is quite painful to feel unloved by someone you love. But better to set yourself free from that kind of torment so you can move on and find authentic care. Whatever you decide or do, you have a good inner voice to help you.

Maybe he does love you....

Maybe he does love you, but it might not be in the way you want or need to be loved. I once heard an analogy about love being like a can of soup. Someone says they love you and they give you a can of chicken noodle soup because, to them, love is chicken noodle soup. That's nice, but you don't want chicken noodle soup, you want tomato soup, because, in your heart of hearts you know that love is tomato soup. You ask your friend "Don't you love me?" He says "Well of course I do, I just showed you how much, I'll do it again, be right back!" and he soon comes back with, you got it, another can of chicken noodle soup. This will go on and on for as long as you let it  but the fact of the matter is, chicken noodle soup will never feel like love to you.  Go find someone who appreciates a good bowl of tomato soup as much as you do!
