Hang in there
Hang in there - if you need to back up a few days in Tools, go for it. The checklist can get overwhelming even at Day 9 or 10 until you get used to it. Tools should be helpful not an additional stress. Have a good weekend with your guy. Hoping things go well for you! Happy Friday and Independence Day to you!
Inner Voice
Yes, do what you feel will work best to move you forward with growth and change at the pace you need.
It is quite painful to feel unloved by someone you love. But better to set yourself free from that kind of torment so you can move on and find authentic care. Whatever you decide or do, you have a good inner voice to help you.
Maybe he does love you....
Maybe he does love you, but it might not be in the way you want or need to be loved. I once heard an analogy about love being like a can of soup. Someone says they love you and they give you a can of chicken noodle soup because, to them, love is chicken noodle soup. That's nice, but you don't want chicken noodle soup, you want tomato soup, because, in your heart of hearts you know that love is tomato soup. You ask your friend "Don't you love me?" He says "Well of course I do, I just showed you how much, I'll do it again, be right back!" and he soon comes back with, you got it, another can of chicken noodle soup. This will go on and on for as long as you let it but the fact of the matter is, chicken noodle soup will never feel like love to you. Go find someone who appreciates a good bowl of tomato soup as much as you do!
