plugging along - forward - mostly

so today I joined sparkpeople.com.

It is an amazing site that is all free - focused on health, fitness, weightloss, etc.  It reminds me of tools, except you have access to everything all at once, instead of a  regulated flow of new info.

It is a little overwhelming, but I entered goals and such.

I did upper body strength training for 50 minutes - one of my goals is more shapely (less fat) arms.

And I went to an amazing knitting store nearby and bought the most luxurious alpaca yarn at 75% off.  It is gorgeous and soft and a beautiful chocolate brown.

thanks to everyone to said encouraging things to me yesterday.  I need to go back to earlier days of tools and let some of those messages sink in more before I move on.....

Incredible!

50 minutes of upper body strength training...WOW!

I can only imagine the incredible arms that will create.

You've given me that little extra boost to begin the Abs Challenge tomorrow.

Great job!

Glad to see you around!

You can do it, keep going! You can do it, keep going!

Great site!

I came upon TTL through sparkpeople as well. It is a great site. You have to be patient though because all of the work is done up front, meaning that you have to enter all the foods you eat with the calorie counts ect. As soon as you have all the foods you eat regularly listed, it's a snap. I love the pie charts that show you how much protien carbs ect you ate that day. I also printed out a lot of the exercises and take them to the gym with me. The video demonstrations of how to perform certain weight lifting techniques are priceless. I am very happy for you, it is also a great tool.

sounds great

you are moving forward!

Spark People is great

Your blog here 'sparked' me to go back to it and restart my weight loss goals! Thanks for sharing this
