Still Alcohol Free

Hey everybody, just want to say that the community and Tools is really helping me.  Through not making excuses to drink, not complaining about the things that make me want to drink, having more respect for myself, the support of the community and all the lessons on tools I am being able to continue being alcohol free!  Although I am not going to beat myself up if I slip up, I think that the more effort I put into concentrating on the benefits of not drinking the more control I have over my decisions to not drink.  It has been a tremendous effort but it does feel good to see that I can take control over it.  Of course as I said before not drinking is seperating me from old friends, which is not comfortable, but it is also having an impact on them.  They want to know why I have changed my attitude toward drinking and if it is helping me, which of course the anwser is yes!  I don't have alot of time right now but just wanted to say that anything is possible no matter how hard it is.  My best to everyone!

Great Stuff

I also stopped drinking recently and I had one guy say, well youve changed your not the wild guy I once knew. I was a little uncomfortable, and tried to punch up the Mike wackiness.. Later I thought that we are always changing and that one person, whom could be fun isnt any less fun, I just direct my energy differently. Different, (revolving) like every moment in existence, and not the same, better!

Better for me.

Good Luck in your quest.

Mike
