good attitude!
The neat thing about Type 2 diabetes is that with exercise, weight loss, and healthy eating, you CAN make a difference - even reverse its effects. Talk as soon as possible to a diabetes educator or dietitian and get a program set up. Test your blood and follow the diet. YOU can beat this.
Good luck! I work with diabetics a lot so if I can help, please contact me...

Own it!
Well, I don't know enough about diabetes to help you, but I was told that I had IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) about 3 years ago. It changed my life. If you know anything about IBS you know that it's a diagnosis of exclusion, meaning they can't pin point what you have so because it affects your digestive system-then it IBS. Anyway, the point is, I was pissed too and for a long time I didn't believe that's what I had. Eventually, I realized they had checked everything they could and didn't find anything seriously wrong with me, so what am I to really complain about. The best thing to control this so called IBS is diet and exercise-just like most illnesses. So now I try to eat healthy and exercise in a variety of ways. Just make sure you're having fun and your body is getting what it needs. For me Bikrham yoga is the best as it keeps my heart rate up for 90 minutes and is incredibly relaxing, meditating, and strengthening. I always come out feeling like I've done an intense workout, and I have without any stress :)
