Well here I am going through the chapters on alcohol and drugs, and while not having problems with either, I used to with alcohol. My wife and are having problems with a new tenant on the 5 acres we rent our cottage on, long story short Our land lords couldn't take living here anymore so they decided to rent out their mobile home on the 5 acres and move to their other house up the street. The problem is that they decided to rent to someone with not only 3 horses, not that we don't like horses, we love all animals, but that the horses roam free at all hours and there is no corral, not only that but the woman appears to have a problem with alcohol and other unknown substances with two teenage daughters, So far in the 3 weeks they have been here they have been using the property to raise hell especially on the weekend, to illustrate, This last Saturday night, she and and a male companion got drunk and decided to take a little joy ride on the property , this was at two in the morning, we were just getting ready to go to sleep, and .I hear a gunning engine and my wife says “there at it again”, someone else connected to her did the very same thing two Saturdays before, the very weekend they were supposedly moving in, this time it was a Jeep, so I went and got my spotlight and lit them up, I only shined the light on the field and on and not in the vehicle as would be later lied about, well that got whoever it was attention and they came right up to the cottage front gate and shined the vehicle beams into our window, apparently looking for a confrontation, I was ready to give them one, even though I still did not know who this was in the vehicle the vehicle then proceeded to drive erratic and go towards our R.V. that is parked on the side of the cottage and invade our space. They then proceeded to head for the front gate I opened the door and yelled out in a furor “If I see one more vehicle that does not belong here on this property you will have to deal with the landlord and the law.” At this point I was fuming so I called the S.O. to ask for advice, they sent deputies, so we waited for them to arrive. It was now 2:30 a.m. When they did arrive we went to the front gate to meet them, not knowing the Jeep had never left the property and was parked in front and who should be there smoking, inebriated and being interviewed by a deputy, well none other than the angelic tenant who lied and said she was a non-smoker to our landlord..
As we approached the scene, the first thing we noticed other than their being drunk is that they were smoking, I said to her there is no smoking on the property ( my wife is seriously asthmatic) and gets ill from the smoke as do I, ( sadly 21 % of Florida’s population smokes, see http://www.tobaccofreeflorida.com for more info.. She denied saying she was a non-smoker and I let her have it verbally about playing loud thumping music the day before when she and her daughters went off riding leaving the front gate open, again no apology or remorse. Her buddy a clueless mechanic said “I don’t know these people this is the fist time I have seen them. My friend here told me that that she just got this International Jeep, so I said let’s take her for a spin and I can get a tour of the property.” (At 2 A.M. in the morning, nothing unreasonable about that, well where we come from it sure is, and last I checked people move to the country for peace and quiet, so yes it's very unreasonable unless of course you are drunk and have no reasoning) We made it clear that what she was doing was unreasonable and she like us was a renter and not the owner of the property, she as drunk as she was could care less. She protested that she paid a hell of a lot more than we do, and we advised her that was not relevant. The deputy informed us that he could not fix our dispute, and that no law was broken, (since driving on private property drunk is not against the law).. One thing we have learned about these “types” they don’t obey laws and when the law comes to them, they ignore what they are told, they don’t fear the long arm of the law even more so when intoxicated.. At one point I recognized one of the deputies as one I had been in contact before with him on the widespread issue of “boom cars and houses” and I had asked him if he had check out lowertheboom.org. He did not know what I was referring to and I said that’s a site that deals with this issue( loud stereos) that folks are shooting and stabbing each other over, which is true, that’s when the non-smoking "angel" mocked what I said and she said “I still haven’t brought my guns over here, I got a lot of guns” My wife and I did not know whether to take that as a threat and made nothing of it and bid the deputies and her and her friend goodnight,. I then realized I had not asked for a report to be made available so we went back to the gate and I told the deputy I needed a copy of the report, he asked for my name, date of birth phone number and I gave it to him in front of her, he then asked her for the same and she said she didn’t want to give it in front of us. I said I had no problem giving it in front of her, of course she was not sober and probably had no record. She said it was none of my fu**in business or something to that affect, cussed me out right in front of the deputy, then the deputy motioned to her and got the information from her out of earshot.. She again repeated about the guns and we said goodnight and went in, they stayed with the deputies a little longer. At no time were any of us asked for identification.
As soon as the deputies left, they gunned the Jeep engine one more time to get a rise from us and went inside. I called the landlord and spoke with their daughter and informed her of what transpired and that we if this continued we would be forced to file a civil suit against the new tenant, I pleaded that something be done, as for the smoking she said “they can smoke as long it’s not inside” (I later learned from the landlords husband that he was very much against having smokers, it took him almost a year to get the smell out of the mobile home when they first bought it. ) I reminded her that smoking on the property would infringe on our health and ability to enjoy being outdoors, I let her know that a report would be available of the incident and said goodbye, I had hoped it would end there, but it did not. At about 3:30 A.M. they started thumping again with the stereo. I called the S.O and spoke with one of the deputies that had been here earlier, I asked him if we should what she said about bringing guns should be taken seriously to which he replied he did not hear her say that, he was talking to the other guy. (I found that rather curious, since he was standing right there when she repeated it twice and very loud)The same deputy came out but was locked out at the gate and the dispatch wanted me to get out of bed and make contact with him, I protested that I was in bed and desperately needed sleep, they then informed me that I was not needed and he made contact with them and made them turn it off, I could not sleep after all the duress and was tossing and turning till 5:45 A.M. when again they started thumping with the stereo again, at this point I knew this was what could only be seen as harassment even malicious intent, I called the S.O. and finally fell asleep, the deputy arrived at 6 A.M. but according to him he did not observe a disturbance. Later in the morning we had a severe thunder storm and once again one of the horses standing in front of our gated fence freaked out, this time someone was home since there were vehicles parked in front, but she was probably sleeping it off
Now I find this online, and it makes you wonder if there is more than meets the eye here?

He's got plenty of crumb-bums poppin' in an out doing who knows what kind of commerce. He stays awake with a loud stereo and I have to listen to his jack boots while he marches around tweaking.
Seems the Democrats are too loose with their definition of "disabled". No wonder Social Security is going broke. If it were up to me, I'd put him on fishing boat and send him to the gulf of Alaska.
