motivation

Before my ask, a little background info: I recently started a new job and opened a new region office (so I am alone at least for another few months). I should be excited about the work & want to tackle my daily tasks enthusiastically, but am not and feel bored. How can I be more productive at work?

I am alone much of the time at work, and I have to give myself projects and look outside the box to feel stimulated. You are only as productive as you choose to be!

One little side thing that I do every day is that I found a website that gives daily affirmations (quotes generally), and I write them down in a little notebook. I'm sure my co-workers laugh, because the quotes are also everywhere in the office!

i.e.

"Whenever you are asked if you can do a job, tell 'em 'Certainly I can!' Then get busy and find out how to do it!" Thedore Roosevelt (1858-1919) 26th US president

write out all the items you want to accomplish. Tell a friend you plan to take action on your first item at say 9 am and hope to finish it by 11am. Ask your friend to give you a call at 10am to see your progress.

Sometimes we need a push from the outside when you are in a less familiar place. You are feeling like the fh out of water. It takes time.

Keep on posting. You are doing great.
