Complaining. I'm good at complaining, in fact I have mastered it to an art form, it never struck me before that I am complaining about me, if I can change the way I do things, with prehaps some forethought I know I would definatly have less to complain about. As a recovering Alcoholic of 13 years I am well awear of the Serenity Prayer. I just cannot remember when I forgot to accept the things I cannot change and change the things I can......

Today was powerful, I would certainly have no problem stringing a large amount of excuses together on a day to day basis, for any manner of things going on, being responsible is more then just saying it. I will have to work on this one for sure. Explains a lot though.

My Attitude has always been a problem, not that I ever noticed it before. That was the problem ! "There are none so blind as those who don't want to see" Knowing that what you do is not as important as your attitude while your doing it can really make all the difference, and experience counts for nothing with the wrong state of mind.

An Ahhhaa Moment as my Friend Janet likes to describe it, was certainly achieved today. I have never quite understood the concept of Goals, and more often then not missed the small achievements for the impossible up ahead, but today, Devlin had a way of explaining something that clicked in me, I don't have it all sussed yet, but what I learned today, I see as a goal achieved, if only to understand something more clearly. On to the next Gas Station.

From an early age I can always remember being told how important it was to always be on time and have always managed a good track record in this area. when it came to answering the exercise questions today, I did find at least 3 times in my life when I had been late and the reasons at the time were, I think Valid. It has enhanced in me though a sense that I cannot be complacent in one good area if I am to reach my goals in any of the other things in my life which need improvement.

Learning today about my inner voice was no revelation. I knew it was there, and it's been telling me for years, things that I knew to be true, and I paid it no attention (Wish I had) If a stranger on the street stopped you in your tracks and laid some good advice on you, would you listen ? No of course not. You'd proberly tell them to mind their own business. That's what I have been doing. Treating my inner voice like a stranger. I have a new friend today. or an old one that I should re-aquaint with. Hello Inner voice. My name is ........

Day 3, and I found today to be tough. The exercise to find oppertunity in my problems. I found really hard to do. Listing the problems was easy, I guess it normally is. what I have learnt today is. even though I don't have the answers yet. I have found a willingness to look for them, and to realise the difficulty has helped me to see how important changing the way I think about things really is.
